Comin Back From The Back
I am now recovering from the back surgery that I had last week. I think I am doing well. The surgeon described my condition as being worse than originally thought. The herniation in my disk was much larger than in the mri that I had six months ago. I was also told that there was some nerve attachment to a ligament that runs next to the nerve. That didn't sound good and made me happy that I made the decision to have it done. Now the hard part, doing nothing. I have to take it easy, and since I am feeling better each day it will be hard to remember that.

Hi Todd,
I hope the outcome of the surgery is awesome... I know how bad the pain is and what drives you to have the operation.
I thought you might like this link.
56 things to do after surgery.
I got it from a blog on bad backs here at thebad back blog.
Good luck, and keep on posting.
Thanks for the link. I checked it out and there are some good ideas. It is timely that you sent it to me because I am in the stage now where I am trying to come up with the things that will productively occupy my time for the next month and a half until I can go back to work.
